A Special Announcement from Sheree and Fran

We have some very special news to share with you as valued supporters of our community who have been walking this journey alongside us.
After nearly a decade of pouring her heart and soul into building One Roof into the beautiful, brave, world changing community it is today, Sheree will be passing the baton to Fran, who will be stepping into the role of CEO.
From day one, One Roof has been so much more than a business for Sheree. It has been her purpose, her motivation, her reason for stretching beyond her comfort zone again and again. She has held space for women’s dreams, fears, failures and wins, and has done it all with so much love, courage and conviction.
As with all meaningful legacies, part of honouring what has been built is making thoughtful decisions about what comes next. The timing of this transition has aligned with a beautiful new chapter in Sheree’s life. Her family is growing from four to five, with a new little one arriving in March next year. With another child on the way, some areas of life need to gently slow down, particularly in business, while family life joyfully speeds up.
As Co-Founders, we have spent many late night calls and teary, hope filled conversations exploring what the future of One Roof might look like. We considered everything, including the idea of selling One Roof, closing it, or radically changing it yet again. We walked down every possible path in our minds and in our hearts and eventually arrived at a shared realisation. It may not surprise you, although it took us a moment to truly land there. The most natural, values aligned and exciting future for One Roof is for Fran to formally step into leading it.
Over the past two years, Fran has been at the helm in so many ways, growing the community, nurturing partnerships and bringing big ideas to life, from the Startup Women Summit through to the recent OWN Conference. Many of you already know her, learn from her and feel her deep care for this community.
From Sheree:
“I could not have pivoted and scaled One Roof into its current evolution without Fran. She has been my right hand woman from the moment the business model changed, and she is the living, breathing embodiment of our mission to create the leading community for women in business. She has essentially been running One Roof for the past couple of years and I feel so proud, honoured and grateful that this community will continue without me at the helm. I cannot think of anyone better than Fran to carry the legacy forward and take One Roof into the future.”
From Fran:
“One Roof and this incredible community of women mean the absolute world to me. I joined during a time of big transition, not only for the business but also for so many women who were craving a village to build their business alongside. I believe there is nothing more powerful, radical or game changing than supporting women to build their own businesses, design their own lives and have true autonomy in their careers. I am beyond grateful to carry forward the legacy that Sheree has created and deeply honoured to continue serving this phenomenal community.”
Sheree’s passion for business and social change is not going anywhere. While she is gearing up to take a proper Maternity Leave (not something she did with her other two kids) she has recently joined Hellomello, a leading Australian telehealth provider in alternative healthcare as General Manager, where she will be shaping products and services that support women’s health, an area she cares about deeply. She will also remain connected to One Roof as an advisor and a lifelong champion of this community.
Most importantly, we want to acknowledge you. This community is what it is because of your courage, your generosity, your willingness to show up for yourselves and for one another. You are the reason any of this has been possible. Every introduction, every virtual connection, every honest share, every tiny win and big breakthrough has woven the fabric of One Roof.
Thank you, from the bottom of our hearts, for walking this journey with us, for trusting us with your stories and your dreams, and for being the reason One Roof continues to exist and grow.
