Tell us more about yourself and your business!

I’m a passionate web designer, specialising in empowering women-owned businesses online. With a deep understanding of the digital landscape, I craft visually stunning, user-friendly websites that reflect each client’s unique brand and messaging. I’m dedicated to ensuring that a website doesn’t just look great but effectively communicates offerings and connects with the target audience.

What are your top 3 tips for attracting the ideal customer through your website?

1. Define Your Goals and Objectives:

Start by clearly defining your website’s purpose and objectives. What do you want to achieve with your website? Are you looking to generate leads, sell products, provide information, or build a community? Your goals will guide the entire website design process.

2. Know Your Target Audience:

Understanding your target audience is essential for creating a website that resonates with your customers. Conduct thorough research to identify your audience’s needs, preferences, and behaviours. It can be helpful to create avatars to represent your ideal customers, and tailor your website’s design, content, and functionality to meet their specific needs. But if that is difficult, it’s often helpful to think of yourself as your ideal customer.

3. Plan User-Focused Design and Content:

Design your website with a user-centric approach. Ensure that the user experience (UX) is intuitive, responsive, and visually appealing. Make mobile optimisation a priority as many users access websites on mobile phones. Your content should be high-quality, relevant, and easy to consume i.e. no long paragraphs. Create a content strategy that includes a mix of text, images, videos to engage and inform your audience. Keep them scrolling!

To end, what’s your favourite Squarespace feature and why?

So hard to choose a favourite as there are many features that stand out in comparison to other website platforms 🙂

I love that Squarespace offers an all in one platform. With so much software out there, it streamlines processes, reduces the need for multiple logins and offers a seamless experience with various integrated features – such as domain registration, hosting, email marketing, acuity scheduling to start with and then if you want to – add e-comm, courses and member areas you can do that too. It has the ability to grow with you, as your business grows and evolves.
